In September 2015, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which includes Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
They rely on the principle of “leaving no one behind”, thus requiring everyone to work together: businesses, governments, and civil society. They balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social, and environmental.
